What Does House Music Feel Like?
If you are a fan Electronic Music,
then you’ve probably heard of such artists as Tiesto, Oakenfold, Armin Van Buuren, Roger Sanchez, Paul Van Dyk,
Deep Dish, BT, ATB, Steve Angelo and more. You may be a fan of some or all of the different genres of Electronic
Music such as: House, Techno, Drum & Bass, Jungle, Hardcore, Electronica, Industrial, Breakbeat, Trance,
Psychedelic Trance, UK Garage, Electro, Downtempo, Chillout, or Nu Jazz. Some beats are faster and more complex
than others. Some are more laid back and meant for winding down. The beautiful thing is that you have a lot of
options for your Electronic Music tastes and a lot of different types of DJ to infuse their own styles into each
type of Electronic Music.
House
Music as it is generally referred to by most people has a different effect on everyone. For those of us who love
it, the music let’s you freestyle dance to it. You can be as creative as you want to be or simply sit back and
bob your head. Some people enjoy jumping up and down and throwing
their arms into the air in tune with the beat. Some people like to break down to the beat. Everyone has their
own “trip” or journey to the house music. A great House DJ will take you on a journey with his mixing skills. He
or she can calm you down or blow the roof off the club based on the journey and the pace that he wants you to
experience the music.
This is one such journey as
seen through the eyes of a House Music Junkie
The music begins to play
and like a moth to a fire, you are drawn onto the dance floor. Once there your body starts to sway. Your
feet begin to move and your hips begin to twist. You stomp your feet in tune with the rhythm and lose
yourself to the throbbing beat. By now your body is glistening with sweat. The beat pounds harder and harder
and your heart races faster and faster. Your soul is filled with movement and passion. Passion for the beat
that surrounds you. As your head swings from side to side you close your eyes if only for a moment. It feels
like an out of the body experience. You feel as if you're floating in mid air and the ground has fallen away
from underneath you. Sheer ecstacy consumes you and for a moment it seems as if the world has
stopped.
The clock disappears and
all signs of time fade away. You contort your face in pleasure as your body becomes one with the music.
Nothing else matters, but the beat. Nothing else matters but the pleasure of the beat. You wish this feeling
would never end. Finally the music winds down and the beautiful smile on your face is replaced by a slight
feeling of sadness. All good things must come to an end, you think to yourself, as a single tear streams
down your face. And then a new song begins playing and the process starts all over again. This is how
dancing makes you feel.
What is
the clubbing experience like for a House Music Junkie? First of all due to the various styles of house music and
the genre of Electronic Music as a whole, there is no simple classification of an individual who loves House
Music. Classical House for instance incorporates Classical music bits into the dance beat and it can appeal to
anyone from any walk of life and it does. Electronic Music centers of the world such as Miami and Ibiza, just to
name a few experience a large influx of people from all over the world coming to experience their flavor of

become one with the music. Club life is not for the faint of heart. Partying for the truly maniacal can start
early and run for multiple days with little to no rest in between. However, for the average fan of Electronic
music, the party tend to pick up in the early hours of the morning and runs until you are dead tired and can’t
go on. Sometimes, if the House DJ is a big name, the club has to literally push the people out of the club.
Popular Miami clubs for House music include; Club Mansion, Opium Garden, Cameo, Club Nikki, Nikki Beach, but the
most famous Miami club for House, especially after hours is Club Space! Club Space has been known to host a
party starting from Saturday night, well into the afternoon of the following Sunday. The energy is absolutely
